Since I like my character to be very flexible in the types of roleplay he can do, I made him into a claymation character. He can transform into any shape he wants, just like Gumby or Onsokomaru. Here he is in a semi-anthro form, wearing his cloak and handling his thick, long, hard...
walking stick.
So, he isn't always an Art Clokey ripoff. He can take on more detailed anthro forms, or tranform into another animal, or even a female or a herm. I'm trying to gain more drawing and digital painting experience before I try anything advanced, though.
I know that the background is crap--it's intentionally so. Making the background symbolic instead of detailed allows me to give a feeling for the surroundings without having to distract me (or the viewer) from the subject details for very long.
