people are so rude sometimes, rofl. i don't understand that. it's free art, but then get their panties in a twist like they're somehow entitled to art just because they asked.

Yes they literally just kept asking me just about every time I submitted something. Some times I give in just so they'll be happy but theres like a point of annoying/rudeness that people always seem to cross when they cant get there free stuff.

i'd probably straight up block someone if they did that to me.. lol.
we're not robots.

we kinda aren't here just to pump out free art to people and bend over backwards to make them happy just because they snapped their fingers and said to.

Exactly and the thing that got me the most out of all of it was...

Me- "I cant guarantee that your picture will be drawn because I choose what inspires me at the time. However if youd like it done soon and absolutely want me to draw it I can add whatever you like to it if youd like to commission me instead."

Them- "Why would I do that when I can get you to draw it for free..."

After this I hit the block button so hard.So.Hard. lmao

.. I just facepalmed so hard at that.
that person sounds like a total jerk.

lol free art is awesome from those who actually care an not say ya its just free so not going to work on it that much but also doesnt mean the one getting it has to be a complete dick about the timing of when they get it not sure how you do yours but what i see some do is like this:

name:
blah blah commision:70% done
blah request: 40% done
blah blah blah Trade: 50% done

ya know its like i think in there signature or something letting those ppl know when its coming or hell do you put a rule that if you msg me about when itll be done i wont do yours ?

also just a side note free art is indeed worth it to some since it does show whether or not they should commission you (most likely already know this but ya XD)

well hope everything goes well an you get less annoyed with those "is it done yet, how much longer, you worked on it today? " messages

You have to understand though free art is just that FREE. Whatever the artist feels like doing is up to them unless they ask you what you would specifically like or if you say you don't like your character in a certain situation.(such as NSFW)

I have that as well its in my queue in my journal. I understand that ive been on the other side of the fence I know what its like to get art from amazing artists it really is wonderful but I don't antagonize someone to the point where its becoming rude/disrespectful.

I don't know if you've noticed but my gallery is full of free art drawn for other people if anyone wanted to commission me my gallery is always open.

I think you might have missed the point of the submission. There wasn't any "is it done yet, how much longer, you worked on it today? " messages it was about someone who wanted me to do free art for them in general because they saw that I had finished a project and to there eye was "available".

By all means im not trying to be rude either just informative haha

lol yea if im working on it and someone wants to know Ill give them a WIP. Most of my commissioners get a play by play unless they just leave it up to me completely. haha Its ok its not a big deal I see where you were coming from <3
