PHEW...still trying to get the current transmission set done, and I'm really trying to get it as soon as I can. Back and forth back and forth esssh, takes time, but will hopefully get a break afterward for a new project I'm looking into.
ANYWAY...time for something!
Recalling Christmas and the thought of Valentines coming up, I got to thinking of family moments. Personally...that's private subject for me...but I asked Randall anyway about his family. He gave a "no comment" with a sullen expression....quickly followed by a "don't push me on this or your dead" look. Which translates, since he wouldn't actually kill me, into "don't push me on this or you'll get seriously injured."
Anyway, Spyro was in the vicinity and was the lone commenter on the subject....
Now I know about his. But it is questionable. Who IS his real parents? Dunno. Some may think Ignitus...but I see him as the "guardian" type and was just a father figure rather than actual father.
Heard talk way back that "Yin and Yang" the two baby dragons that were in the scepter of the Sorcery were suppose to be his parents (given they're the bonus two and come together). Though if THAT'S the case, that would lead Spyro to taking care of his parents in a literal toddler way. How weird is THAT??
.....How about having a dragonfly foster family? Tah!
Ok, so Spyro's actual parents (or born from magic or whatever as a purple dragon. Imagine Malefor's parents...*shivers*) aside....his foster family was supposedly a group of dragonflies in a swamp. Flash and Nina were their names if I recall. Of course, they had their own real son, Sparx, as well. But finding Spyro, they adopted him into the family...so foster son to them and foster brother to Sparx.
Now a bit on Spyro's lack of brilliance is the fact his parents, apparently, never told him he was a DRAGON and not a dragonfly. You think he would have realized that after a little bit he'd notice he was a LOT bigger than the other kids in the class.
Not to mention when an instance like THIS comes up tah! I had mentioned about this before, and just think...imagine how good Flash and Nina must have been to raise Spyro (literally and figuratively) and content with Sparx being the "big brother". Parents must've had a lot of patience and enthusiasm to feed him, teach him to walk (as dragonflies, they don't, so how...?), more or less CHANGE him! (In addition to learning some dragon-fu apparently)
So lets give Flash and Nina (and Sparx if he did his brotherly duties) a hand in their efforts for raising the purple fire sprouter to maturity...no wait...that's not right...uhh...well raising him IN GENERAL. Also to all those consumed sheep that wandered into the swamp, the safe open mushrooms that protected for a couple years while Cynder ran all messed-up in the head, and those diapers which probably took hours to change with such small hands!

Psh. So he's a fussy one to change? That might be a problem; and that definitely earns some parenting points there. Changing a messy dragon is something. Changing a bickering baby dragon who fights you every step of the way AND is bigger then you? Maybe that's the reason they learned dragon-fu.
