He escapes down the hall and makes his way far away from where that room was. He figures escaping, or at least hiding in the closed off Hell-Gate Wing will find him refuge. And that door was practically nothing. Perhaps, unknown to him, the tentacles that have grown out of him, are not just covering him, but reforming him into tentacle.
