I was inspired by the music from the CMC Episode "Flight to the Finish" - Hearts Strong as Horses
It reminisces of (in particular) Civil War or military themed music. So, I had a little free time on my hands and made this. Had some advice from the PHbronies and well and did gone through with this piece.
By the way, this is my ever first Civil War related piece, and I'm pretty ecstatic with the results.

I really like the color and details of this pictures. The individually unique uniforms and kepis (the hats) standout despite the dominant dark color. Reminds me of the time when I was in a Civil War reenactment. ^_^ Granted, my kepi kept falling off the second I make any body movement but it was good times.
Am I the only who noticed that Sweetie Belle is a unicorn and yet she's using her mouth to play the drum?
