I've been wanting to illustrate Strong Sad in his Grim Reaper getup for some time now. But of course, the inevitable reference to The Seventh Seal was likely made in "Experimental Film" (set in monochrome, natch). So I decided to do a take on this one minimalistic poster for the film that featured a lone chessboard in the darkness, with Strong Sad present. I figure, why not?
