The lower Decks of course are for research~ upper decks are for residents and workers alike!. You will have plenty of gravity well generators, Light beam experiments, Energy fusion! New powers! New types of Energy! All stored within our massive Computer Databanks!~ they learn as you do! please dont teach it to be rude!

I do love this style of space station so much xP ~ nice tall Top-like, easy to draw. Love bio-domes always my favorite! What self respecting science fiction nerd doesnt like bio domes?! :O
This station comes equip with a power supply tethered to it, in emergencies that thing can detatch and be its own station... If its damaged they replace it!~ the stations fairly modular. as you can see by all the random attachments.
In the center of the city is a large TOWER that goes straight to the top, its not just a glass dome, its halved by two LONG beams that run along it to brace and keep it stable. if theres an emergency they will activate a shielding to prevent atmosphere loss, in the case of a massive atmospheric calamity, the vents will start sucking air INto large chambers, There are failsafes to prevent people from flying into space, the streets are lined with blast shields that if anything SHOULD happen and could... They would activate and slam shut above the street preventing loss of life!~
The hangers on this space station are huge, most of them, it houses up to ... 20+ ships, small - Huge
from a Battleship to a carrier. ~
The station houses at least 500,000 people at a time. with an overflow limit of 1.42 million people. depending on species, average weight and height.
The station runs on a new system of Fuel Rods that run fairly clean, however dont let this fool you... they are also working on new fuel sources, not ON the station but on the power station tethered to it. It has a dual purpose of being the power supply for such a massive beast and a science station. :D

Technically the name classification translates roughly to "Research 1" R1
