Finally finished this fennel masque after starting it over a month ago... it didn't take that long to make but bipolar disorder can sap your enthusiasm once you start something so this sat on my workbench for far too long.

I swear to you now that no photograph can do this piece justice... the actual product is a thing of pure beauty and I think I may have actually fallen in love with my own work... modern day Narcissus here, I suppose.

It did take a long time though, mostly the accurate shaping of the brass, which is why I can't sell them. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to sell them but with the time it took to make (all by hand, I might add) I'd have to find someone willing to part with the best part of £200 for one! Maybe if I find a cheap, economical source of laser cutting in the future I might be able to... but each one wouldn't be quite so special then.
