William III and Mary II, Houses of Orange-Nassau and Stuart
A couple of months ago, I decided that I'd commission various artists here on FA to depict the British monarchs as furries. With that in mind, here are King William III of the House of Orange-Nassau, and his wife Queen Mary II of the House of Stuart. They reigned after the Glorious Revolution that ousted Mary's father, King James II.
Why is he shown as a bear, and his wife as a King Charles Spaniel? Well, this FA journal entry will provide my reasoning for that.
Expect more in the months ahead.

Over The Hills and Far Away (1704 version)
Hark! now the drums beat up again,
For all true soldier gentlemen,
So let us list and march I say,
Go o’er the hills and far away;
Over the hills and o’er the main,
To Flanders, Portugal and Spain,
Queen Ann commands, and we'll obey,
Over the hills and far away.
There's twenty shillings on the drum,
For him that with us freely comes,
‘Tis volunteers shall win the day,
Over the hills and far away
Come gentlemen that have a mind,
To serve a Queen that's good and kind;
Come list and enter into pay,
Over the hills and far away;
No more from sound of drum retreat,
While Marlborough, and Galway beat,
The French and Spaniards every day,
Over the hills and far away;

I'm guessing the other males of the House of Nassau were bears as well, including all of William's successors as Prince of Orange up to King Willem III of the Netherlands, and the counts of Nassau-Weilburg up to Guillaume IV, Grand Duke of Luxembourg? I'm not sure what Guillaume's daughters would be, but since the younger one married a Parmesan prince (who was therefore a direct male descendant of Louis XIV of France), I'd wager the current Grand Duke is a stag.
He was a surly fellow, actually. He was dead set on poking Louis XIV in the eye with a sharp stick, so after seeing which way Louis would jump (toward Germany), he took the job as King of Great Britain. He knew that the French would come after Holland, so he wanted Britain on his side.
And no idea what the rest of them would look like (although I just had a thought - a female member of the House of Orange comes back with her hubby from a state visit to the former Dutch East Indies, and nine months later gives birth to a bouncing baby binturong boy. Oh, the scandal . . . ).
