Opted for a gloss black roof for the Crocodile, and I think I'm going to put a clear coat of gloss on the Comet...

Nice painting, very shiny! That's the classic 70's look of the ÖBB (Österreichische Bundes Bahnen - Austrian Federal Railways)
If you need decals - I've got plenty of them. :)

well P.E. was an interesting line and had a lot of interesting stock too. i grew up in northern cali, where once upon a time there was the sacramento northern, all the way from into the east bay transit terminal in san fran, all the way up to the north end of the valley in chico. by way of sacatomatoes of course. gone before i was born as a passenger service, but isolated chunks of it still remained for switching industries, through the 60s and into the 70s. i only lived in so cal for about six months when i was three years old, but that was in 1950. p.e. and the narrow gauge l.a. city lines trolleys were both still running then. or at least the city lines cars were. i don't remember if i ever got to ride the p.e.
always wanted to ride the key system in the bay area, but we always crossed the bay on the s.p. farries instead, because my dad's pass was good on them (he worked for the southern pacific between sacramento and sparks nv) plus i think also, he really loved the boats. in 59, when we took a trip east to visit ma's realatives, on lon gyland, i got to ride some of those mp54's.
