So I decided I should get back to inking. No denying that it's tough! I still got a lot to learn. The boots were especially a pain in the butt to get right. There's still some things I'm unsure of, but for now, I think this is alright. A friend of mine gave me a bit of advice about muscles and line art after a previous picture (which I might remake later). Hoping I did okay. I am thinking of coloring this. I mean, sooner or later, I gotta start coloring! XD
This guy has confused me a bit, honestly. Like is he a dog/cat kind of alien hybrid, and is the color from his suit or is that skin. I looked at a picture from one of the GBA games and I'm pretty sure it's fur.
Oh, and that's not underwear, just getting that out there. XD
I found this video where you can ask racers pre-selected questions and what-not. It's pretty poor in quality but...

As always, looking for feedback! Thanks!

Hopefully in the future, you'll experiment more with variance in line art thickness, which can help apply emphasis to certain parts of the body. Take MaxBlackRabbit's ink works for example, where the outlines of things are thicker and more emphasized, but "interior" details, like some of her muscle tone, uses much lighter, thinner lines. This not only makes the character's overall shape more defined, but the subtler muscle tone lines give the sense that there's a layer of skin over the muscles obscuring them somewhat. It's a more natural look.
And likely from being a Mega Man fan, you have a tendency to draw somewhat large hands and very noticeably oversized calves and feet. It's fine if you prefer this look, but I will say that I've always found it a little distracting.
All that aside, I must say that your muscle anatomy knowledge has improved tremendously in just a few months, and this looks far more realistic than your previous works. A lot of people seem kind of clueless about how the pecs are more or less attached to the deltoids, and how the pecs will stretch like that when the arms are raised. Good attention to detail.
Also, Leon is cute and I always meant to draw him, so thanks for picking up the slack for me. XD

Won't deny when I tried inking earlier, it kind of screwed me over. I haven't exactly picked up the right method on inking with line weights, so to speak. I guess I might've also picked up a bit of the muscle thing from some artists I've seen, but I see what you mean.
I haven't drawn anything Mega Man related in a while, but maybe I did pick it up from looking at all those Official Complete Works books...I'll try to fix that next time. Maybe Kingdom Hearts had a play in it too. I dunno. XD
Well, it usually helps to always have reference around just in case you need help on certain things. Guess I should've used more though in these cases. ^^; I still have a ton to learn when it comes to drawing muscles, and well, anatomy in general, actually. Hopefully I will get to a point where using reference will become less and less of a thing. I'm sure that will happen if I keep drawing though, which I should be doing now. XD
I kind of wanted to draw someone who was not as drawn that much, so I figured why not him. Plus he's probably my favorite and best character in GX. Plus he's a real softy despite his appearance. :P Thanks for the feedback!
(Had to fix a few things, like the spacing below. Sorry. XD)

Yeah, Leon races for the kids back home. He's a good boy. ;)
And drawing with references is not a bad thing at all, hun. A lot of artists do that. Heck, so do I. If there's something you don't know how to draw, find a reference picture and draw it. There's no shame in that, as long as you're not tracing it.

True. That part with him wanting to be a wrestler was kind of the reason I drew this (even though I'm not much into wrestling at all XP). I need to figure out who else I should draw. I think I got a general idea. XP
And you're right about not being shame in references. I just mean that I want to keep improving to where I don't have to rely on them as much when it comes to things like anatomy. Other things like characters and such are perfectly fine. ^^
