Somehow he managed in the bitter years after the war to feed three children just with his art. First he moved to Feuchtwangen, the birthtown of his wife after his own art-nouveau house in munich was destroyed by an american bomber. Later, he came back, living his life with humour and optimism. He managed. He always managed.
He died in 1954
