By this time we should be at ~7" of rain of our 18" wet season average. This year we are just about 1". There should be 4' of snow on the ground above the passes in the mountains, but we are looking at bare ground. Corn is very water intensive so we may not plant any this year in favor of beans and ground crops that use much less water.
Personally I hate slush and surface re-freeze. Too slippery and cold.
