MEET THE CREW:
Captain: Sasuke Uchiha
Captain of the Emo Avenger. Sasuke has gathered a small rag-tag crew and has set sail for Weasel Island in search of his brother. But with the captain always chasing down whatever shark he sees, they probably won't find their destination anytime soon.

First Mate: Cloud Strife
Sasuke's trusty first mate. Cloud joined the crew after the tragic death of Aeris at the hands of Sephiroth. Driven by his grief and a drive for revenge, he joined the crew not counting on the two people who affected his life the most joining as well.

Helmsman: Vincent
Vincent joined shortly after Cloud for reasons unknown. What he didn't count on was being stuck on a ship with a bunch of crazy people. Vincent is a 1000% done with everyone and often daydreams about crashing the ship into a rock and drowning everyone just so they'll shut up and leave him alone.

Cook: Gaara
Gaara's tragic story and dark demeanor made him a perfect candidate for the crew. But Gaara still has yet to get used to life on the open sea. He's in a near constant state of paranoia because of the surrounding and limitless water.

Cabin Boy: Shinji Ikari
Shinji, being a whiny little jerk that no one likes, got the position of cabin boy. But, being Shinji, he never does his job right and spends most of his time just sitting around and whining about how everything wrong in the world is somehow his fault.
Also Shinji is only a stick figure because he isn't good enough for anything else.

Various Crew: Aeris, Sephiroth, Sesshomaru
Aeris:
After her "death" someone came along and did the smart thing. Used a Pheonix Down and brought her back. After coming back to life she went out in search of Cloud. She joined the crew in hopes of getting close to him again, but Cloud refuses to believe that she's alive and thinks he's hallucinating after being at sea for so long.

Sephiroth:
Sephiroth has deep seeded issues with his mother. These causes him to be dark and brooding and thus perfect for the Emo Avenger. He didn't count on Cloud or Aeris being on the ship however. Now Sephiroth spends his time stalking Aeris and killing her whenever Cloud is around just to mess him more.

Sesshomaru:
Sesshomaru joined in hopes of getting revenge on his brother. But now he's stuck on a boat full of crazies. His solution for problems that arise on the ship? "I say we just kill them."

Bit of backstory on this idea here:
This was an idea that my aunt and I came up with YEARS ago. Most likely because Shippuden Sasuke looks kinda like a pirate.

We ran with the idea of taking characters from franchises we liked who were well known for being dark and brooding, sticking them a pirate ship, and setting them off on an adventure for vengeance. But obviously, being stuck on a ship for so long has it's consequences.

While I was digging through some of my older notebooks the other day I came across a bunch of the old drawings my aunt and I made of these guys. And my god, they still make me laugh just as hard now as they did back then.

Sadly, my aunt passed away last year. But after finding these old drawings I've decided to bring this back for her. She loved this idea and we had a lot of fun drawing our dumb little drawings. I know she'd be happy that I'm now sharing our dumb humor with the world.
