Dark type ponchinellas have the ability to swallow shadows to make protective force fields and can store energry from star and moonlight. They can concentrate that energy into white, glowing orbs that can cut through almost anything. They usually only have to use that ability to threaten a predator away. If they persist however, they can just cut through them with it. They live in trenches and caves, or wherever there is minimal light during the day. At night, however, they wander as they please.
