I don't know how many times they tried to break me, physically or emotionally.
At first I just wanted to protect myself from some traumas, even though that was close to make them consider me as an autistic person.
Poor lil' snail. Life is so unfair when you're different. They always try to wipe you out of your shell, for your so-called well-being. This shell was my protection, and I really needed it but they couldn't understood it.
Yes, they broke me, but I can't really blame them, since they thought they would help me that way.
Yes, I do have scars from that, that forced me to go even deeper in my shell.
My shell may be broken here and there, but such is my own skin, like a map of where my heart has been.
There's nothing that you can't fix without enough will.

Don't think it's ever good to force someone out of their shell. Sometimes, good intentions result in horrible consequences, and just reinforces the need, perceived or real, for the shell.
Hope she finds good friends who can coax her out instead, and show her she doesn't need the shell anymore.
