(Alternative title : The Grande Collapeosseum) Thanks for that one JaiJai XD
It looks like someone didn't really think about the consequences of promising the biggest battle in the history of the Grand Colosseum, sadly Coracroma isn't too impressed by the competition and the rather fragile mortal architecture ... how did they put it back then? Let the audience decide!
One of two sketch commissions I was able to get from the very nice and talented
JaiJai , the other one was a gift for four people that are very dear to me and will be uploaded by them. But I will still link to them here after they are up if you are interested ^^
And you should totally hit up JaiJai for these commissions they are very affordable and as you can see her traditional sketches look amazing! (I love me some traditional art :D)

Is that a good or a bad thing...? She usually HAS a fixed size of about 115 feet, but I may be a bit lax because I never tell artists "make her that big" , it stints their freedom and I have the firm believe that pictures turn out better the more freedom and fun an artist can have with a picture.
And I'm so sorry it's taking me so long to get back on your note, as you may have noticed I didn't have much time lately to do anything on FA really (router went kaputt and even with my phone I have a hard time focusing on longer answers in notes...I really don't know why. My brain just feels kinda... dull)
The different places : Well she's pretty much free to go wherever she wants, but I always keep her in medieval-y environments when in Europe and Ancient Greece when , well in Greece. But I never had her leave Europe. And don't intend to without good reason.

I figure a do-over would be good for the crowd... And I guess for the other gladiator too, since that means he isn't dog food just yet.
Don't worry about the note - I'm patient, and this was the main question I needed answered! You can't be blamed for having priorities or internet problems lol.
But I am tossing around ideas in my head and looking more into Greek mythology. I'll send you my thoughts when I've collected them myself - just send me any suggestions or requests if you have them, and you can get to the notes whenever the opportunity presents itself :)
Again, this is a great picture - the colosseum setting has to be one of my favorites and something I haven't seen often!

I'm guessing she is capable of changing her size at will, though rarely she makes herself smaller than five stories tall.
If she's lounging in a valley and is big enough to fill it, take heart: as inadvertently destructive as she is at that size, such days are when she's in a good mood.

From what I've seen of Cora thus far, it seems that all three of her heads are the same person and mind, but they all exhibit some of the many thoughts and emotions she's feeling. In some pictures, two of the heads are focused on one thing, while the third looks distracted by something else or is expressing a separate or contrary thought she's feeling. In this case, two of her heads are plotting what to do with this gladiator and taking immense glee in it, while her right head is probably thinking "peh, what a loser. He's going to be the new champion this year?"
In short, all of her heads can hold a separate train of thought or express a particular emotion from whatever mix she's feeling at the time, but they are all part of the singular being that is Coracroma.
That sound about right?

Well I've been rolling an ideas of Cerberus tattoos in my head for a long time then I saw some of your art, it felt like a brick to the head to actually have a Doberman Cerberus tattoo, favorite dog breed and fav mythical beast. Funny thing is it didn't take me long to sketch and color. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12565580/
I think what I like about your character and commissions, especially the ones with Classical settings, is that macros just work so well in that setting. Many of us grew up on Swords and Sandals movies from Ray Harryhausen and others, so images like this are both familiar and epic. You can imagine fishermen who will never even catch a glimpse of Cora in their lifetimes offering up a prayer or doing some small ritual before setting out to sea, or out on a long journey.
I know I would leave a little wine in the glass for her.
Love the paper and sketchwork on this. The media helps makes the image.

Ignoring my last journal on this ... you are at fault that my "return" has been delayed by two days! Reading your comment just had me scrambling for my Harryhausen DVD boxes and I had to watch through all of them. I just LOVE these movies... not only the effects but also the stories and atmosphere created in them... the last two days were a blast because of that, so thank you so much! :D
And this has to be one of my most favorite comments to this day, it was a really interesting analysis of what make the pictures interesting for people (me included) and I never had it written out that clear. You really helped me build her world a little with this.
And I simply adore pencil sketches...so I can fully agree on your last statement :)

Cora's city must be home to a genius architect or engineer like Daedalus or Archimedes who can get these structures rebuilt in short order. They don't mind so much, as Cora ensures that they are always gainfully employed by the city and gives them the opportunity to perfect their engineering techniques and try a new architectural style ("I've heard that Doric columns are making a comeback!").
