wow those drawings of the luna and cecropia are so life-like i didn't know they where drawn till you mentioned it ! :'D I've always wanted to hatch out some mothies after a local artist (magweno) bought some pupa and hatched out emperor's.I never even knew you could buy pupa lol.

Several people have mistaken them for photos, yeah, which is funny because I wasn't going for total photorealism.
You can totally buy pupae! I got mine from a breeder here in the US, but there are probably people in many areas of the world doing this with the local species. Even if not, I think Bombyx mori are pretty easy to get all over the place because they're used to for silk and to feed other pets - but you might know about that already. :)

Luckily my roommates do pretty much the same thing. I had a hawk in there at one point in time that my roommate, who is a jeweler, used the head to cast for future pieces. :) But we mostly have frozen rodents and chicks to feed our snakes. The biggest thing in the freezer is my, almost, 8' boa that passed away.... Wow, looking in there, we do have a lot of dead things!
Omg! I love this! I collect insects and plan to get a degree in entomology if things go right. Well I was at my friend's house and I think it was one of the Sphinx moths I saw and I didn't have one yet so I caught it,it it in her freezer and she goes to get her vegetarian food, sees it, and freaks out at me saying I'm tainting her food lol.
