The poolhall is always the place to be to make an ass of oneself on Pleasure Island.

It's a good morphing job on your donkguy, but the drop shadow you used on him makes him look like a cut-out superimposed over a flat background (which is kind of what he is).
My suggestion: turn his drop shadow off and create a new layer under the guy. (I'm assuming you're using P-shop or similar software.) On that layer use a very soft brush/airbrush, black but very transparent and focus on the spots where your guy would be making contact or coming close to the pool table. (For extra transparency you can also reduce the opacity of the layer you're building the shadow on.)
For instance, near his waist you'd have a heavy shadow 'cause it's close to the table, but up at his chest & forearms the shadow would be very light because those parts of him are far away from the table, so your shadow would gradually be getting lighter as his body gets further away from the table.
(BTW, what's the story with his left hand? It looks like it's growing out of the table.)
Hope I'm not being too critical here but I like the picture and I know you can make it look better. (Speaking of which, nice job on the "Pleasure Island" neon sign!)
