You are a perfectly adequate sketch artist, Thietogreth. Nothing exasperates me more than an artist down on his/her own skills when they can get a lot of concept refs work done. Imagination stimulates, so if you can imagine it, then you can work to sketch it out. Even if you end up revising many times. That is how the process works...
Truth to tell, while I feel I am quite a decent artist myself, I will never be satisfied with my own works; but the reality is, I am not an artist and really don't care to be, because concepting and writing are my strong points. My drawings will only ever serve one purpose, to convey visual concepts for designs in connection with all the projects and productions I conceive. Professional quality only matters if you are a lone wolf or the end of the production line. Feel free to work toward professional quality in your art if you want, but just about any artist will tell you, even if you have a knack/talent for sketching and/or coloring, you still have to work up through many levels of quality and technique and develop your own unique style; this takes years and you have to draw and otherwise practise constantly. Which requires passion...You need to find something you feel really strongly about...I hope that can be the CUP for you, but we each have to march to the sound of our own drummer. Half-hearted, unenthusiastic contributions to the CUP really won't help me, as they will not encourage me or build me up. There is progress and then there is Progress...

Thanks for the little pep talk =3 Oh btw I'm almost done with the discriptions of the four races I was thinking about, though I think I only told you two or three of them in our chat. Just have one more to write the stuff about then I'll be sending it to your e-mail =3
I tend to leave out lots of details for months. You really can't get down to details - beyond things that occur to you out of the blue - until you start visually and textually developing characters and their races. Aspects like culture and society are just real WIP points which become more and more refined with time and writting development. It would be nice to rush things along, but it just doesn't work that way...
I get this strange feeling like somthing is tickling down the back of my neck when someone is kind enough to draw my character... I guess that's a mixture of a number of possitive feelings, and I sure am getting that right now! Thank you so much for drawing my character
Your queen is beautiful and elegant, but somehow I find her very cute as well...
