Red, the colour of hate, fury, and blood; on the world of C’larssis it also is the colour of joy and happiness –the colour of the Titan of Happiness himself, Rufaro.
He is the male of the Titan Twins, the twin nigh-omnipotent beings who observe and direct the flow of the cosmos. He’s also called ‘the Father’ and ‘Rufaro the Joyful’ for his roles in the world. His most favoured races are the Gnolls, who were blessed with the ability to find joy in everything around them and held great feasts in honour of new life, and the Suarnach, the Northern Swordslammers, who find great wonder and happiness in metals and the ability to craft it.
He, like his sister, was sealed away from the mortal world to put an end to the fight that the duo had been waging which was, bit by bit, tearing C’larssis apart. After their banishment, he spent the vast majority of his time observing the world and watching his favoured races in their struggles to continue on without him.
He had fought the hardest to win the right to be humanity’s patron deity, causing great devastation to C’larssis as a result, and felt it was his duty to watch the world and ensure that his mistakes did no harm to those he held dear. Part of his banishment, however, meant that he could not see any events in which humanity took part. He had to watch the Gnolls, his most favoured race, all but vanish over the course of two days when a human ruler swept his armies across their civilization like a plague of locusts.
When the haze lifted, there were almost no free Gnolls left.
Upon returning to the mortal realm, his first action was to revisit the time that the Gnolls had all but vanished from the face of the world. He watched in sorrow as they were swamped by human warriors, but he was proud that they had fought back so valiantly against such daunting and overwhelmingly impossible odds.
He now spends his time amongst those his actions have harmed most, aiding his favoured ‘children’ back to the grand and proud society they once were. He teaches their young to middle age all they need to know, and protects their village –hidden amongst the ruins of their dead empire- from slavers and monsters alike.
Rumour is that he once caught a slaver in the slum-like village trying to kidnap Gnolls for sale…
… there’s not enough evidence left to say that he ever existed in the first place.
