Well, I don't think many will counterargue that it's a unique design. I, at least, have never seen anything like this.
The two biggest questions I have are... Can he poop? And can he shoot himself out of... himself? (Basically, what would happen if I light the fuse?)
He's obviously too bipedal for any other dog, but I think that's the point of this creature.
I notice that you often draw your characters like this, as if floating in the air instead of standing on the ground.

This sounds like the perfect setup for an identity crisis for both the dog and the cannon.
Who's the real CannonDog? Is it the Cannon or the Dog? Whose thoughts matter more?
Also, how does the Cannon find it in himself to have a Dog constantly in his mouth? That must be some bro-ship!

Well, apparently they're two separate creatures who have come to a peculiar cohabitation agreement.
So, maybe if the Cannon gets angry, the fuse will get lit. But the Dog won't have much impact on the Cannon's psyche or physique.
Or do you suppose they're empathetically linked? That would be interesting. As I mentioned to Japanda, that's a setup ripe for an identity crisis. Who of the two is the real main entity? Can they work together perfectly or will there be friction? Do you think the Cannon can get angry with the Dog and just spit him out and leave him lying there. ...Only to come back later for reconciliation because he regrets what he has done. (Especially if they're empathetically linked, the Cannon will feel the Dog's sadness when he's left behind.) And then it will all start over again, because an identity crisis is not easily solved!
...Maybe my imagination is running wild here. But you have to admit that this can have a lot of potential.

I'm trying to comment and complement this but that comment above me lol
this is FA of course your gonna find some weird things that don't make sense that shouldn't be questioned (I have a million times) xD most things in my art block doodle I won't even use for that reason. if you saw this on a cartoon or something no one is gonna ask they are just gonna watch it.
the dog does have half a body(or no legs) it might be a dang alien that eats gun powder for crying out loud. yeah again this is FA not National Geographic haha
well sorry for all that I like this and I'm glad you drew him! >w<
