Things are going along swimmingly nothing bad can happen right?
Characters belong to me and friends as stated in chapter 3
Tigus and Aida walk down the hallway to the cafeteria they‘re getting close to the office.
“Hey what’s your name tiger-boy?” The lioness asks.
Tigus feels rather comfortable being around Aida, she may be talkative but at least it beats walking alone next to someone in uncomfortable silence.
“My name is Tigus.” He turns to her with his hand out.
She looks at his hand and then she grabs ahold of it. Her hand feels soft and delicate but when she shakes and her eagerness erupts.
“Hi Tigus my name is Aida in case your wandering or if you didn’t hear Mr. Vist say my name.”
Both continue the fun hand shake, Tigus smiles with delight, and Aida just grins. They separate their hands but the friendly contact remains.
“So you were going to lunch too?” The tiger asks the friendly lioness.
“Yeah but I don’t know, I was thinking about just talking with my friends, walking around, and you know just wasting time. I would like to go somewhere, hell I didn’t even want to come to school today, but the parents said that I have to.” She has the upmost confidence when she speaks and it’s like she doesn’t care who listens as long as she can have one person listen to what she has to say.
“The same thing with my parents too, this morning my mom was going a bit overboard with the camera, like I was coming out of the shower and she flat-out takes a surprise picture. I was wearing nothing but a freaking towel.” Tigus timid nature is definitely gone, when he is around girls he feels more comfortable than with boys.
Aida begins to laugh. “Dude, your mom is funny and awesome. Heh I’m pretty sure that I would’ve done something like that. I can only imagine the face you made when she took your picture.” Aida starts laughing and she can’t control herself.
“Alright, I know it’s funny, but surely you can see that I am a victim here.” Tigus’s amusement lightens the conversation.
“Oh yeah, I can totally see the humiliation of what your mom did to you.” Aida says with a related sense of humor.
They pass the office and Tigus looks at the seats where he and Burc were sitting earlier, he continues to look in the office, and Aida is talking away next to him. Aida sees that Tigus isn’t paying attention she stops and Tigus continues to look in the office.
“So what’s his name?” Aida asks with a curious intent.
“Who?” Tigus becomes shy and timid again.
“You know, that wolf you were hugging.” She displays her playful side by nudging him.
Tigus turns away from the office window and walks toward the cafeteria and his pace quickens by a half-step. Aida catches up to him.
“So, who is he? Why were you hugging? You guys best friends? Or you guys…”
Tigus becomes more frigid, he knew she was inquisitive but not so impulsive. He stops and turns to her.
“Just his name that’s it. Okay?” His voice changes and he straightens up his posture.
“So what’s his name?” She gets closer to him.
“His name is Burc.” He hides the romantic feelings he gets when he thinks and says the wolf’s name.
“Burc huh?” She places her paw underneath her chin.
Burc thoughts swarm around Tigus, the way he walks, his choice in clothes today, and the sensitive cat that lies underneath that big beast exterior.
“Burc. Hello, Burc.” Kristen was talking to Burc but wasn’t getting any response back.
Burc snaps out of the day dream.
“Oh sorry, what was that? I was thinking about something else.” The wolf returns his attention to Kristen.
“You were spacing out.” She responds.
“Sorry about that, usually I don’t tend to space out.” The wolf lets a small smile go across his maw “I … today I just feel so happy.”
“Because it’s the last day of school.” Kristen adds on.
“No not that, but. I found something.” Burc stares at the ceiling.
“What, I’m sorry I don’t know what you mean.” Kristen is confused by the wolf speaking in unrecognized terms.
“On I just met someone. You know so yeah…” He tries to get off the subject.
Kristen feels the mood beginning to change so she leaves the subject as it is, and she continues the slow conversation with the wolf.
Tigus and Aida head for the cafeteria, Aida still has her mind on the wolf, and she asks about him again.
“So mind if I ask another question about that wolf you were hugging, oh what was his name.”
Tigus feels the sudden annoyance of the lioness’s question.
“I thought I just said that I would tell you his name. Tigus gets a little more serious.
“Oh yeah, forgot about that, anyway what do you usually do during lunch?” The lioness changes the subject.
“Oh me I just grab my food and sit down with my friend at our usual table. Why?” Tigus’s mood changes.
“Just wondering, forgive me for saying this but you kinda give off that loner vibe. But you’re pretty cool tiger-boy.” She chuckles at the end of the sentence.
“I guess I do give off a loner persona but I am not really like that. I have friends but I talk to them on a daily basis if I see them or if they text.” Tigus is completely relaxed after her attempt to know Burc.
“Heh you are one down to earth cat. Tigus.” Aida lets the compliment flow.
“Thanks Aida, why don’t you tell me a little about yourself?” Tigus asks.
“Hmm let’s see, I am like a giant ball of fur that rolls around and make noises just to keep myself occupied. I’m sorry if I seem pushy and a bit hyperactive.” She says with a polite smile that reveals the calmness underneath her active personality.
Diamur is already in line at the cafeteria, he stands in line between a human in front of him and a female Dalmatian behind him. He just looks at his shoes and thinks of many things, big questions about life, his crush on Tigus, but as thinks of him a bulge begins to form in his black jeans. Diamur becomes uncomfortable he tries to get his mind off Tigus he thinks of girls the only successful distraction that will make his bulge go down. It’s not the mere distaste in women that settles his arousal down but he’s not sexually attracted to them so it seems like a reasonable thing. Still he wishes he had a better method to ease his bulge.
The heated presence in his pants begins to fade as the lunch-line moves, with each step to the lineup of `delicious foods and the kitchen staff behind the glass to serve you what you would like to have for lunch. Diamur sees the bounty of food. But he’s just is line to pay for his milk so he can eat his cereal.
The husky pays for his milk and heads to his favorite table, he bought two cartons of milk for the large feast of Frosted Flakes his mother brought him from home. He takes out the large bag full of the cereal; he pulls out a bowl, and his signature spoon. The first carton of milk opens and then he proceeds to pour the white fluid onto the dry food product, the milk collides, and the light splashes it sounds peaceful to Diamur’s soft fluffy furry triangle ears.
Diamur doesn’t belong to any club nor has that much friends. What he considers his friends are the characters in the stories he reads and creates.
Most of his time is spent in the library, he one of the first one in the library since his class is located next to the library. He has the privilege of choosing the best table with the less uneven chairs, tables and his favorite table is close to the books of the fiction section.
A usual day with Diamur during lunch time is getting to the library first and getting the books he needs since he’s one of the first students to be in the library early. He gets he’s books and then checks out before the crowd comes in and then the library becomes a little bit louder than the quiet silence. Once the husky get the books he desires to read he’s off to the cafeteria to eat his cereal and talk with his with friend which is the only time they talk during school. Once he is finish eating his lunch he heads to the courtyard and finds a spot to sit and read. Tigus and Diamur met during lunch in their junior year of high school, Tigus needed a place to sit and eat his lunch and some of the other students were no less than friendly with the tiger.
So right then and there the husky caught sight of the wandering tiger and quickly offered a seat the table he occupies. The tiger took to the generous offer to sit with the husky which was last year.
Tigus and Aida are entering the cafeteria area.
“I think this is where we go different ways.” The tiger awkwardly says.
“Yeah, it was awesome to meet you dude. You’re one cool cat tiger-boy.” Aida smiles as she has met a person to be acquainted with.
“Likewise, you’re different but nice Aida.” Tigus complements her and the conversation they had. Both begins to part and Tigus goes left and Aida heads forward, Tigus spots the signature table that is occupied by a lone husky eating cereal. The tiger smiles he then makes his way to the table dodging tables and other students in his way, the lone husky continues to eat. Diamur notices a familiar presence and looks up to see the lovable tiger cautiously swerving around the obstacles.
Tigus makes it to the table and pulls out one of the chairs.
“Hey Diamur.” The sweet tiger greets the husky.
“Hi Tigus. You’re a little late than usual. Heh just kidding.” Diamur feels the awkwardness and takes another spoonful of Frosted Flakes and inserts into this mouth.
“Yeah I met someone new, we were talking on our way here, she’s quite an interesting person, a little too much excitement but I like her.” Tigus has never been happier than today.
Diamur is in and out of the conversation with Tigus; his mind wanders around the question if he was in Burc’s place. The things he would tell Tigus sine the first day they met, he wants to be more than friends with the tiger, but now it’s too late. When he saw that grieving tiger sitting in what he thought was alone in the office, but then he realized that another had beat him to it. If only the husky confessed his love for the Tigus, would things be different, the school, everything, or would it become a burden. But the burden part didn’t faze Diamur he knew he could keep Tigus smiling until his face started to hurt form the amount of grinning.
“And then I told her what happened with me and my mom.” The tiger continues to talk.
Diamur can’t help but not pay attention to the mesmerizing tiger, his distinct facial features, his stripes, and those lovely blue eyes that make jewels seem worthless. Finally there was someone who can take his mind off eating his favorite cereal.
“Now I am here with you.” Tigus finishes.
“Wow that is interesting.” Diamur answers without a clue of what Tigus said and takes another spoonful of cereal.
“Yeah it is, she is funny, and almost topsy turvy.” The tiger smiles.
Diamur grins and gulps down the food. “She sounds nice, what was her name again?”
“Her name is Aida. I think she’s single. Do you want me to ask her out for you?” The tiger ask not knowing Diamur’s feelings.
Diamur gets funny, he quickly shoves a cereal into his maw, and he then begins to change the subject.
“What’s wrong Diamur already have someone in mind?” The tiger asks.
Diamur repositions himself in the chair “Um well yes, sort of, I don’t really know.”
Tigus grows curious about Diamur’s crush since they have never reached any subject before.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Tigus asks.
“Well, s-she is amazing. I can’t help but to feel happy when I am around her, it’s like I am complete when I am around her. She has these beautiful eyes that just make me… want to … you know feel love.” The husky sighs as he is clearly talking about Tigus.
“Does she know how you feel about her?” Tigus asks.
“Um not exactly, well you see I’ve been admiring her from afar, I had the chance earlier to talk to her but I stopped.” Diamur pauses and thinks about what took place in the office.
Tigus feels for the chubby husky. “I’m pretty sure that if you gather enough confidence and approach her she’ll have to say yes. You’re pretty amazing; I can’t see why she wouldn’t be interested in you.” Tigus is giving caring advice to his own admirer.
Diamur thinks about it and slowly eats another spoonful of Frosted Flakes, wondering if he and Tigus could really be together. He wants to confess his love for Tigus but instead hides it away and gulps down the milk left over when he finished the cereal itself. Lunch is almost coming to a close; Tigus eats what he got from what the school sells instead of eating school-made lunch.
Burc is still talking with Kristen, they have covered a range of facts about each other, and they’re making the class seem less boring.
“Man, class is almost over.” The wolf sounds disappointed.
“Yeah, but at least the school is over.” Kristen hopes her response cheers the wolf up a bit.
In less than fifth teen minutes the bell will ring and Tigus will go to class and Burc will go to lunch.
The woodshop teacher sits in his classroom frustrated and alone. The large bear continues to think about that tiger and what the young anthro was doing in the boy’s restroom. He slams his fist onto the desk. BAM “I will get that damn tiger! He hasn’t seen the last of me; make me look like a fool in front of the Principal will you?”
