Is there a story behind their orange glass-like weapons (besides looking extremely cool)?

I'd love to see that pistol implemented as an Avali specific craftable weapon.
Seems to be something missing at the moment, crafting tier specific guns, even if they're very generic and plain like the melee weapons.

Yeah, it's a flash forged aerogel-like compound. The idea is that it's forged with lines of weakness, so that when it strikes a target layers of the blade peel away, so the leading edge is insanely sharp, and as it cuts in, so razor like wafers peel away getting left in the wound and renewing the edge of the blade. Of course, shearing like that wears the blade away very quickly, so old segments snap off (along the box cutter-like lines), and the hilt forges a fresh blade from the hilt.

Totally impractical of course :p

Oh, a friend of mine had a question. Brace yourself.
Due to the aforementioned "frustrating lack of pornographic material" I had no answer to give when I was asked how their reproduction system works and what it looks like.

Why did they want to know? Perhaps there exists an ammonia-based Kirk out there in the universe, romancing all the ammonia-based life. XD

xD - the wiki does touch upon it slightly. Simply put "bird like", and I don't mean "furry misrepresentation of birds" but legit birds (Oviparous, no phallus, cloaca. In terms of genetalia, nearly no external difference between male and female. Sexual dimorphism strictly limited to body structure and feathers)

Oops, I should have read the lore on the wiki first, it answered most of my questions.
I had no idea how in-depth it was already, you could base a movie on that shit, yo.

There is one set of questions I still have though.
I noticed it said they can communicate in a very efficient manner, being able to all talk at once without disrupting another.
If they were to speak to alien species (for example, Humans) would there be any peculiar traits to their speech? I'm thinking things along the lines of inadvertently talking over others, or having a certain way of organizing words in their sentences. Perhaps even being able to talk to several people at once? Somehow splitting their voice? I have no idea.

I was trying to develop a character, and for the time being was going with a broken English that is in a format which suggests quickly getting to the point, avoiding unnecessary filler words, and avoiding words that have too many syllables.

I get that question a lot. But most races use translators anyway, so, the question is kind've moot as their speech would be as awkward or efficient as the translator allows (and given that google translate is pretty good. Future translators will probably be nigh perfect) without a translator it is doubtful they could speak English, even if they understand the language due to their range of phonetics. Also without proper training on ettiquette they are likely to try talking over an alien like another Avali, or possibly talk aloud about the alien to their pack members which might be less than flattering :p

I found them over these two pics and quickly searched my way through the web and to the wiki of them and I am just blown away by the awesomeness of all the details you created there, but also by your amazing artistic skills. Please keep going to create many more of such amazing pieces of art.

Oh, and I want to mention that now I really, really wanna hug one of them, too bad I would give them probably 3rd degree burns because of humans high body temperature. ^.=.^

Lol, I hadn't seen the second pic you linked before. The whole TF thing really seems to be rather popular among some of the players on the SB forum, but that's one thing that's definitely not going in as canon :p

I have actually got a new picture in the works that's practically finished I'll probably upload tomorrow which I'm very happy with funnily enough, it's not like I actually draw a whole lot so the timing is amusing.

And I love to see more of your amazing species and the world you created around them. They are just amazing. I am also really, really curious about what more you will bring up about them interacting with other species, especially humans, as it is mentioned in the wiki that normaly they are...not reacting too good to humans. ^^

Maybe try to draw a pic of either a human in the typical Avalon surounding wearing an environemtal suit, or vica versa, would really like to see an Avalon wearing a full body armor or the likes. ^^
