PCA Independent: Isaiah Thompson
Age: 17
Birthday: September 7
Year: Junior
Team: None (but looking)
Species: Medicham
Move Set: Freshman: Future Sight, Psychic, Mach Punch, Rolling Kick
Sophomore: Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Calm Mind
Junior: Protect, Safe Guard, Agility, Double Team
Pet: Chaos (absol)
Personality: Isaiah’s kind of the reserved type. He tends not to talk much and is mostly found in the library reading which kinda freaks everyone out since he’s technically blind. Yeah, that’s right he’s blind and wears a blue blindfold over his eyes. But since his father is a Lucario, he has inherited the ability to see aura and channel it through his hands. And through training combing it with his psychic abilities he is able to see despite the obvious. This is the result of an accident which also killed his older brother, the thing that freaks him out is the fact that he saw this when he first Future Sight. This and other foresaw events have led him to believe that life is predetermined and everyone is just destined to be who they are meant to be and no one can change that. He doesn’t like battling all that much, but his brother pushed him into it. In battle he uses his aura sight to find certain muscle joints in his opponent’s body and hit’s them with aura filled hits to temporary make them unresponsive and numb so they can’t use that part of the body (quick and less messy).
Background: He was the 2nd born to two top professional battlers, Lucas (Lucario) and Andria Thompson (Medicham). His older brother, Scott (Lucario), was also heading in the same direction. But Isaiah’s a bit different; he wants to be a writer instead of a battler. So his parents gave Scott more attention of the 2. Scott was still a great older brother to Isaiah, and made sure their parents gave him the attention he needs. Scott even convinced Isaiah to come to PCA with him and got him to battle. Scott was in his senior year when Isaiah came in as a freshman. It was during a training session with Scott’s team when Isaiah first used Future Sight but he saw something that haunts him to this day, Scott dying in a horrible car crash. As soon as he told Scott this, he waved it off and told Isaiah “Don’t worry about it, the future is not set in stone.” Unfortunately, later that same day while Scott and Isaiah was driving home, an out of control truck crashed into them. The accident killed Scott just as Isaiah foresaw. Not only that, it left Isaiah’s eyes completely disfigured and useless. So he became blind and hides his eyes behind a blindfold. From then on, wracked with sorrow, Lucas and Andria was constantly talking only about Scott and all Isaiah heard was remarks like, “Why can’t you be more like Scott?!” Sick and tired of hearing this, Isaiah decided to move out of his house and live in the school dorms. He only stays in battle for the memory of his brother but it was useless. No one took him seriously, or allow him on their team because of the fact that he’s blind. And with Scott no longer there to protect him, some of the other students even picked on him. It was one of those times when they would take Isaiah to some random location and just leave him there was when he met an absol with its scythe slightly torn off who was running from his owner. It was the shock that the absol gave him that triggered his aura sight. This was the first time that Isaiah actually saw since the accident. The absol’s owner told him that the absol was nothing but trouble. But all Isaiah saw was that it’s been through hard times just like him. So Isaiah convinced the owner to let him keep it and he called it Chaos. Now Chaos lives in the dorms with him. He spend the rest his freshmen year training to learn to control his aura sight and combined it with his psychic abilities to actually see. He even learned to telepathically talk to Chaos in which he learned that Chaos can smell the aura of others. In his sophomore year he surprised everyone by his new abilities and even became more aggressive. Yet he still couldn’t find a team that would take him in. So now by junior year he tends not to even care, but he still wants to join a team and finally surpass he brother’s so he can finally step out his brother’s shadow in his parent’s eyes.
