Well this is so old and awful at this point I don't know what I was thinking in making it exactly, but let me GUESS at what my intent was here.
I THINK what the dialogue there meant is that Chillie didn't want the fragmentation between Gem and Bloodstone to remain as it was--I don't think it had anything to do with "the family" as in Chillie and Gem. I think it was "the family" as in, Gem's horrible relationship with his blood relatives.
