you know how long it took to make them look right? my god. eventually I drew little circles at her back where i think the tails would be coming out, then drew the tails from the point of origin.

Dang, this came out pretty nice. It does seem like a damn shame to cover up those legs. But I know that feel bro, drawing those tails is a bitch. But I gotta admit, I love the heavy presence the tails give to her bottom and how the tails and pants help accentuate her feet.

overall i'm not unhappy with the finished results! a challenge is ALWAYS better than something that's too simple to draw. besides, her challenges are better because it's not in difficult character design/markings.

Yeah, markings and tattoos are a bitch to draw. For me, the outfit makes the character, so none of my characters have elaborate markings on them, just the occasional markings on the face which are usually simple.

They're a little more conducive to human-like characters. Humans define our individuality with clothes and sometimes tattoos. So it makes sense in my opinion.
And I don't know if they're obtuse, I rather enjoy artistic freedom, and with your character I tried to get more into her personality, since her reference has information to give me hints into her history.
