Well the whole thing back then was he was as super strong as Sonic was super fast. They wanted to keep him as close to Sonic as they could so fans could get attached to him faster than if they made some huge drastic change out of the blue. The boxing gloves gave him a fighter look, even if he didn't do anything fight related till SA1, and the whole master emerald thing people say is the reason behind his super strength. Now he has the strength and the look to back it up.
Well some people will think how they want to. I guess. I don't think their character designs are that drastically different in my opinion. Sonic is still blue, he's spikey, only has bandages on his shoes which are red(which I admit I'm too fond of the shoes but I guess it suits the kind of Universe they're in which seems all adventurey and stuff ) and Sonic still has green eyes. the only thing I can see different in Tails is that he's taller and has more clothes on lol.
I agree fully...but just because Sonic's arms are blue rather than skin color people are rageing. Honestly it fits just as well and they really do look more their age now. I mean they really haven't been messed with sens 93 and here it is 2014, it was just time to give them a small upgrade but they kept the core looks that we all know and love.
I don't as well but heard its comeing for the WiiU and 3DS. I'm saveing up for a WiiU and honestly, if Nick can give the ninja turtles a new look that fans like we can only hope cartoon network dose the same for sonic. Who knows, maybe some more old characters from the sonic past will come back...fang the sniper, mighty armadilow, shade, and I'm sure if its a hit they'll toss in fan faves like shadow, rouge, and silver. I just hope they don't go crazy stupid with revamping them, really bad story, or rush into tossing them in too soon.
I find that so long as characters like Chris or any of his family come around the case it'll be TONS better than SonicX! I saw the tv trailer it looks like the characters will look just like they do in the game. I think unless Sega wants to bring the old cast back like Fang and Mighty perhaps that's the chance we can score there.
Yeah...Chris was a very bad idea. Much as I like all the wild characters the Sonic team makes...they flood the place with them, showing up once maybe twice then shelf them. Mighty and Fang only showed up in 2 games and then never saw the light of day again, same with Shade who was in only one game that was suposed to have a second game but the company that helped make it got bought out by god damn EA so it never happned and she's stuck in that one game. The just need to slow down or stop for a while with pumping out new characters and use some of the countless ones they've already made.
