His style is quite unique; it’s beautiful when a style works well with the subject and these brush strokes work wonders for fur. Not to mention the general feel of the piece with the joyful look just fills me with pleasure every time I see it (no wonder it’s become one of my regular backgrounds then). It's art like this that gives that feeling of a special connection to my character.
