Detroit Michigan March 1st 2000 0600
Lily looked down at her combat knife, slowly drawing a rock across its edge. Unlike most of her equipment Lily had the same combat knife ever since she was accepted into the S.A.S. Across thousands of missions it never left her side even temporarily. Sharpening it was a calming exercise of a sort letting her look back on her long, strange life. How she went from being MI:6’s top agent to being on the run with an ideological terrorist, an AWOL army officer, a half demon prostitute, a synthetic life form, and a vampire responsible for more deaths than the plague and his two closest lackeys. It was certainly a roller coaster ride to say the least, but in all honesty it was her only choice. Even with her experience and abilities she couldn’t dodge her majesty’s finest forever, and despite the fact that Andrew Clay wouldn’t be ideal company it was the only option she had at the time. None the less she was happy in a sense, she had done a lot of good in the years the world turned upside down. Now she had a cause other than surviving to see the next sunrise, all her career she thought she was using her skills in defense of Great Britain. Instead as she found out she was merely working to line the pocket books of wealthy politicians. This revelation led to her abandoning her post, and later being pursued by the very organization she had fought for. Now she was working to rid the world of the same elite who put their own welfare before their peoples. Now she had a purpose, and in the end as she finished sharpening her blade she was proud to call herself templar.
