A concept simulation room I put together for  Toughset's Peril, Response, and Rescue. All perils in this room are remote-controlled.

1. Actual sand makes up the floor of the room.

2. Water is 15 ft. deep and has a wave pool function.

3. Lifeguard post, you know, just in case.

4. Quicksand is also 15 ft. deep and is made up of a 15 ft. tall vat buried to the brim in the sand and filled with tiny magnets. Each grain of sand in the pit is a tiny magnet that attracts to the others around it. When a button is pushed, the magnets start to repel just enough so that anyone standing on them slowly sinks. Upon submergence of the victim, the bottom of the pit is programmed to open up, and while the sand stays in place, the victim is deposited into a room below. Special effects include rippling, bubbling, and even a sinkhole effect. The pit is also heated.

5. Animatronic anaconda lies dormant in the left corner.

6. Carnivorous plant with remote-controlled tongue that stretches out to 25 ft.

7. Articial cave harboring an animatronic kraken/tentacle monster.
