Sample digital linework of a work-in-progress pic of Our Heroine riding a giant eagle. Can anyone guess at what the inspiration for this was?
I'm debating as to whether I should digitally ink this, or leave the linework as digital pencils and carry on colouring. What do you think?

Well, the LOTR eagles were part of the inspiration for Super Collie's choice of mount, but it was mostly the Haast's Eagle (a.k.a. Air Jaws). Though given that the (thankfully extinct) Haast's Eagle was the largest eagle ever to fly with a 3 metre wingspan, it wasn't that much of a scaling up job for Harpagornis moorei to be transformed into Gwaihir the Great Eagle in "Lord of the Rings"!
