We walked into the Comm Room together. Well, more or less. I let Levian to walk in first. Not only would it have been hard for both of us to fit through the door at the same time, but we’d been working together for a long as I can remember, and if there was one thing I’d learnt about her was that she always had to go first, to charge on ahead, even when she was asked to stay back. Of course, sometimes it got her congratulated, and then other times it got her disciplined. But then, I knew that the same could be same of myself, if the other way around. I’d often be the one to hang back, to watch safely before striking. Sometimes I was right, and sometimes she was. We’d always figured that’s why we were always teamed up. Between the two of us, we balanced each other out.
We’d been expecting to find the room empty, or at least I had, but instead found Natasha standing there, fiddling about on a console, looking at pictures of Eden Prime, the destination of our short little trip. Natasha; the Spectre that the Galactic Council has sent to oversee the shakedown of the Normandy. Or at least that was the official line, but both Levian and I had suspected there was more to it.
‘‘What’re you doing here? Where’s Anderson?’’ Levian said, pointing her finger at her, as bold and brash as ever
Natasha tapped her console offline and turned to face us.
‘‘Commanders, I was hoping you’d get here first. It’ll give us a chance to talk.’’

Ok, so while I’ll admit that Desmond is mostly to blame for this, I will gladly share some of the blame for putting the idea in his head. X3
Having recently been replaying through the Mass Effect trilogy, I happened to mention to Desmond that I was playing as Woxie Shepard. The image of heavily pregnant furries saving the day in the Mass Effect universe was simply too appealing to leave alone, and so this image was shortly born.
Featuring both Woxie and Levian as the two possible moral types of Shepard (Paragon and Renegade respectively), Toughset did a fantastic job of capturing our moods and actions brilliantly.

For those who aren’t sure what exactly is going on, here we see events from the very beginning of the first game where the Commanders meet up with the Spectre, here played by Natasha, to be briefed on their Spectre candidacy.

Is this the start of a series? Well...we’ll see...
