The one in the middle is a crab, the one at the top is two aromatic carbon rings holding hands, and the one on the bottom looks kinda like a sideways slug's face :P

i take that back i think the middle one is hydroxide, and the bottom is some sort of sulfate and i stick with some sort of acetate for the first one

Oh okay. I just asked because Wikipedia and some other places have a different configuration depicted for benzil, and I thought maybe, because it seems to be a stereoisomer (cis-trans, it appears), there might've been a "normal" benzil and an "iso" benzil (though that idea might be wrong generally---I haven't studied chemistry in years).
