This is one of the most interesting character designs I've seen. Her colours really work well and her design doesn't seem too overdone. And the flavour of her story is really cool. I really love her ^^.

If all they do is eat the nightmares that exist, sure, but many creatures that feed on nightmares also CAUSE nightmares in their prey. Most Darkstrayers probably cause nightmares in innocents and prey on taht, but she makes her feeding ground where there are already plenty of fears and nightmares.

Hm. I do wonder, if a creature that feeds on nightmares, can HAVE nightmares.
Would do wonders to help a creature adjust to being a monster. Would encourage sleeping well >.>

I don't believe she was ever human. She was that fox-like species she has refs up for. You can see it in her tail.
