this is a reference sheet for my latest dragon character Dante. he's a cutie ^_^
i think i pretty much cover everything i know up there. i'm still fleshing out his character, but oddly enough i think i'm basing some of it off my best-friend's boyfriend. i'll probably write back here when i've developed him more.

oy, so much reference... your Gaddala people are a well-thought out lot it seems. I mean, with the short struts on the wing's shoulders and all... I honestly would have overlooked them as just another feature. good idea you mentioned those details.
other detail show me you thought long and hard as well: the wing bones and hands, the paws/hands which are large enough to support the being, and that you located the wing shoulders behind the foreleg shoulders, so the muscles would have acess to the sternum instead to have to go through the arm muscles. I used to copy the others before recently when it struck me I did it all wrong. :)
out of curiousity, is Gaddala skin scaly or leathery?

my Gaddala are a constant work in progress. i don't think i'll have a time when i'm not mulling over their physiological design in my mind, trying to think it through and iron out evolutionary kinks. but, as they are, i am very content.
Gaddala skin has much the same texture as human skin, but is slightly more thick in certain areas - such as the back, over parts of their rib-cage, and such. however, they are evolved from creatures that had scale-like skin (imagine pangolins or armadillos, stuff like that) and so some have a very, very rare genetic defect where they will get "scales" around their horns, nails, and hair - basically it's a keratin build-up.
but anyway, enough geeky rambling ^_^
glad you like.

I do indeed. and thank you for the extra details. I don't know if I ever will use them, but it's nice to read them.
which reminds me, I should do the same for that tribe of dragon-koi-mammal hybrids I made up a couple months ago. some people seem to like them, maybe they are interested in more details, too.

i've found that a lot of people are interested in the itty-bitty details, and even if they aren't, we don't force them to read it, so everyone wins!
and i myself would be very, very interested in your tribe of dragon-koi-mammal hybrids. i love reading about different creatures people have made ^_^
