Furry Comparison - Traditional Vs. Modern
So I've had several people ask me what a "Modern" furry is - now I'm not knocking it, honestly I could draw them either way but I just prefer traditional anthro/furry look, muzzles and all. But here's a side by side comparison of the way the two styles differ.
And btw, both of these characters are canines. So keep that in mind.
EDIT:
Alright, so just to clarify things - Modern furry is Anime-Style Furries. It's the same thing, it simply has two names. Modern furry is the actual name for it (it can be wiki'd I believe) and some people (particularly on DA) prefer the look of them. Where as traditional furry, or the standard of what most think of when they think furry is more feral-like faces on more human-like bodies.
Hope that helps to clarify everything. c:

It is what's called "modern furry" basically anime styled furries. (I didn't come up with it, ha ha. wasn't meaning to seem like I claimed I was - sorry if I seemed like I did)
I've had a lot of people recently ask me what that means - so this is a drawn example to demonstrate it to my watchers and so if anyone has questions I can link them the personal difference between the way they look when I draw them. c:

Yeeeeah >.< I watched one artist for years... was one of the first artists that initially drew me into FA. Over the years though, she turned full-blown 'modern' style that just... I didn't like it with the way she arts'ed. It has its place, but when a husky character is so consistently mistaken as a feline because of the short muzzle that you have to make it clear in your profile and in every ref sheet that she's Not a feline, there's something wrong.
