If you can't open the story with Notepad, then try www.OpenOffice.org. OpenOffice is free, it requires none of your information, but it does have a small donation page. Click on the download tab on the top right. Once you have it downloaded, i guess you may have to set it as your default word processor but i'm not sure. But you can download stories with it, that's how i read mine. :3
