Also, for the overall softer feel, I have a layer set to "overlay" with the color I want in it. By reducing the sketch's opacity a bit, the color comes out more in the sketch.
Oddly, that's what I was originally going for with those Burn-layer sketches, but Overlay works a ton better for what I want.
