The request was for three animals I'd never done a TF story for before; narwhal, frilled lizard, and jabiru.
It turned out to be a lot of fun, I learned a lot of interesting things about these animals, especially the narwhal.

Interesting TF setting. The grammar's good and the TF was subtle and interesting.
So the zoo is a hybrid zoo and juvenile detention center?
I wonder, if the former Humans have their memories wiped or if they're just stored away.
That said, I could see this zoo to having "experiential" tours or maybe even having the TF as part of the training program for keepers.

The intent for it to be a kind of work-release program for problem kids means they have to eventually get their memories back. The way I've sketched it out in my head is that the memories are stored, and when the kids return to being human, they have both their memories and the memories of being animals as a take-away lesson to encourage better behavior.
I imagine the zoo could offer tours to people who want to be animals for awhile (there are definitely a few of those people around here :) ), but that hasn't come up as a story in the setting yet.
