Nohni was a street rescue by a no-kill shelter, so her age wasn't known. When problems popped up I took her to the vet and he estimated that Nohni must have been about 12 years old when I got her in 2008. Our time was short, But I enjoyed it all, and wouldn't hesitate to adopt another older animal. We oldsters need love too.
As for myself... No, I've NOT dropped out of the Furry community. It's just that I'm working in collaboration with others on a project that has a 'non-disclosure' clause. Can't reveal anything until it's time. Yes, it IS anthro related, and it's a story - one that's looking like it will be nearly 100,000 words long.
Was supposed to be a short story.
Yeah. Right. Heheh. Never seems to turn out the way one expects.

Nicely done, my friend. I had adopted an older cat back in the 90's, from a friend whose wife became allergic. She lived to be almost 22. It hurt when she left, but the love we shared will never end.
Glad to hear about the collaboration, any idea when the rest of us can see it? (I still do proof-reading, too.)

Man, we had a clinic cat at the vet clinic I work at who I swear looked EXACTLY like your cat in the face, but he was named Charlie. Lived to be almost 15 before diabetes caught up with him. So I'm sorry for your loss. If she was even half as nice as Charlie was, sounds like you lost quite the companion. =/
