As the echoes of his belch faded from the mountain's rocky slopes the dragon looked over the small pile of trinkets before him. Many had spent the better part of a month (or two) stewing in his belly after their owner had been devoured; yet now they sparkled in the morning light, still slick and wet after having been coughed up.

The dragon's eyes sparkled. They'd make excellent additions to his hoard! And a nice reminder of his friends, some of whom didn't get to visit much.

...Except the collars. Their owners would probably want those back.

...And the earrings and horn-ring. Those were hard to replace and sentimental.

...And the glasses...

Still! The feathers would make a nice keepsake, and the horseshoes he'd probably get to keep. No equine would trek the many miles out to his lair un-shod.

He separated them from the rest as he gathered up the still-dripping items to take back into his cave. He'd have to start scheduling the return of his various friends' possessions at a later hour. ...The pleasant squirming of his latest meal was making it hard to concentrate on other things... <3
