A (really shitty cell phone) WIP shot of an almost completed piece, in which two rats steal an egg right out from under the unsuspecting hen. Expect the actual image uploaded sometime this week.
It's an 10x14 sized piece, done in ink acrylics and colored pencils.

Victor is the brand name of a spring trap.
Sorry, but I also had rats as pets when I was a kid. I know they're smart, and I also know what they can do to a house.
Last house I had (which was a lease) became infested with the common roof rat. The landlord did nothing to get rid of them, and it became unbearable.
Now you know why I can no longer stand them.

My suitemate fostered two kittens for a few months this past year, and, being kittens, they were more than safely curious about the rats...however, my alpha girl, Abby, decided she didn't like the cats poking around the cage and would actually chase them down! I wish I could have taped it - Abby was running around on the floor while I was cleaning their cage, and one of the kittens came into the room and started following her. I was about to shoo him out, but Abby did it for me. She charged him, fur puffed out, and chased him, nipping at his tail, all the way down the hallway until he escaped downstairs. After that there were no more problems, the kittens kept a very good distance from the rat cage.
