Are you familiar at all with Metroid 2: Return of Samus or Metroid Fusion?

I was thinking I missed a game because I don't remember any Metroid creature that looks like that.

The Omega Metroid is the Penultimate form of the Metroid creature, hardy, armored, vicious and mean. The classic Metroid that can be frozen is nothing more than a larva, which molts after a while into an Alpha Metroid, a slightly armored foe. It then grows into a Gamma Metroid, a bit more armored foe. That molts into a Zeta Metroid and that's a pretty nasty foe. Next comes the Omega and that's what the subject of the piece is turning into.

Intentional, though, admittedly, seeing someone turn into a Metroid queen hybrid and be sexy still would be a tough challenge to pull off

Then theres also the Metroid Prime from that part of the series... And then there's Dark Samus... The dying energy of Metroid Prime plus some of Samus' DNA...
