I can't stand fighting games that are stuck in 1990's 2D graphics that still use the cliche 'quarter-circle, back' controls where it's impossible to play without memorizing all the character's moves....... Six random buttons to six random moves.
Tekken: Left Punch, right punch, left kick, right kick, how hard is that? Tekken actually uses real martial arts rather than, more or less, being based on them but then pull out some energy ball shit.......

The Tekken characters are the ones you need to memorize for
Street Fighter: Light, Medium and Fierce punches and kicks, how hard is that?
Tekken: Every button does something, but you can't possibly know what it is unless you've played it a whole lot
Tekken also has LOADS of moves that use quarter-circle motions and stuff like that, more then you could possibly need
Street Fighter and similar fighting games give you a few moves that are actually of some use
And a whole lot of moves in Tekken are way too powerful IMO, like Paul's quarter-circle punch
Also, I can't stand the feel of Namco's fighting games. Often when I wanna duck, my character side-steps instead. What the fuck is up with that?

And then there's the charging in Tekken and Soul Calibur which power up your next move
Who the hell uses that shit anyway? It leaves you open and isn't worth jack shit
The Namco games also still don't have fucking supermoves
It's 2008, Namco, supermoves should be in your fighting games just like the rest
