"Roly-Polympics 2006: Winter Games: MensSnowboard#2" [old]
Here's another classic "Roly-Polympics: Winter Games" moment, from my original series - that appeared in my gallery in "The Round House".
American Shaun ("The Flying Tomato") White was hoping to be the first snowboarder to 'three-peat' in Sochi, by winning an Olympic Gold Medal in the "Half-Pipe" event (having already pulled out of the "Slopestyle" competition, a few days earlier)... but it was not to be.
Back in 2006, when White won his first Gold Medal in Torino, Italy, I had rendered another American snowboarder - in this case, a fat bear - who wasn't as successful in his run for an RP medal. A fat cat spectator would bear witness (no pun intended) to the 'wipeout'.
(I'll have more classic "Roly-Polympics 2006" cartoon gags - and a few new ones for 2014 - later this month... Meanwhile, "Go Team USA!")
