The enchantment on the blade allows it to resharpen its blade as well as igniting itself when wielded in battle. The enchantment has cost however, spirits, if the wielder does not make any kills while using the blade it extracts a portion of the users soul as payment. Often the wielder of this blade is an empty husk of what they once were, forever taking what was taken from them for their failure.
