i know, that's what makes it fun! or at least in my opinion. i don't seem to mind much, so long as i don't do something stupid and go full auto and run through the tiny 60 round mag for the gun. it's hell to reload. when i play paint balls, we don't stop cause we get hit, we stop when we run out of ammo. i liv on a ranch so i have the resources to do this the way i want to. but you know, whatever your tastes are.
why airsoft when you can throw LEAD for REAL?
I know, your only 15...
I'm 34 and I own a REAL AR-15 (FTW!). lots of fun.
besides, my brother was a Jarhead, and the one thing he would change if he could go back in time... would be to NOT have been a Jarhead doing the First Gulf War. he'd got some EASY job like... Army Ranger, Delta Force, Navy SEAL... you know. easy.

DPMS AR-15 20" battle rifle A2uppers (times two, basically Corps standard issue, minus 3-round burst)
Winchester model 94AE Lever action .30-30
Mossberg 12ga 835 over-bored and ported 30" barrel 3.5" Magnum shells (plus 24" smooth-bore barrel)
.50cal sidelock black powder musket
1858 Remington New Army Revolver .44cal 6-shooter
1911a2 Colt Combat Commander .45acp
add in my brothers .54cal sidelock black powder musket
and one 114year old Finnish Mosin Nagant (from the Winter War) 7.62.54r (still in perfect working order)
that's MY humble collection.
all but the .45 and AR-15's will be retired when I finally get around to getting my "One Rifle" (lest I find an inexpensive .50bmg)
it'll be a Remington M700 in .308Winchester, plus a Mioptics scope. add in a Harris bipod for good measure.
your a wanna-be Jarhead. what does that combination suggest to you?
here a hint
M40a1 Marine Corps Sniper Rifle.
but that's the ONLY hint I'm going to give you!
OH! I have a question for you: which would you rather have on your resume when you get out of the military? Actual Job Skills, or "Kills people DED reall good"?
just a question for you to ponder

um... wow, you sure got me down. impressive amount of weapons i gotta say. and i'm not going into the military, i'd die in bootcamp. if i made it through, i'd most likely shoot myself in the foot. my knowlege of the military only goes as far as the books i've read, the games i've played (like COD, which is real accurate and checks out with most of the books i've read). i like military, but i know i'm not going into it. i go hunting, but i couldn't pull the trigger on someone. i can take games, but not real life. and for the first comment, i do shoot my 2.43 winchester hunting rifle for fun, so i do throw lead for real. woah that was a lot to type.
don't get down. there is no reason for it. I'm 34 years old. I've been collecting chosen firearms for the last 16 years. I NEVER did manage to find a fully automatic Thomson Submachine gun for less than $10,000 (I'm cheap), but you have to keep something in mind here
I have only EVER sold ONE of my guns.
it was a Talon .380 auto. it sucked horridly and jammed every 2nd shot.
every other gun I have ever owned... I Still Do.
and I ONLY got the AR's this winter.
relax, take your time, get what you REALLY want, not second best. NEVER hurry a gun purchase. and RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!
buying a firearm is like making wine... the longer it takes, the better it'll be in the end, AND the happier you will be with the end result.
hence my desire to get the Remington 700 Bolt action in .308W. I did quite a bit of research on the rifle I wanted (M40a1) and have narrowed my selection of commercially available rifles and custom gunsmiths to get exactly what I want.
that and you have to consider the USE that you are going to put the gun to.
which explains the argument my brother an I have CONSTANTLY about getting a .22 conversion kit for one of my AR-15's.
plinker/Fuck-off gun
.22 is less than a penny a shot, .223 is $0.50 per shot MOST places I can find it in BULK.
that and paper doesn't resist Too much

OMG! somebody shooting a big gun that makes a pop noise with a bright orange cap on th end! I MUST call da police! geez what an idiot. i guess it happens though. you see, i live twenty miles out of town in both directions, off the cap rock and in a canyon. i could have set up artillery and now one would be teh wiser. ^^ i love texas.
:\ *smirk* lol. You know.... When you were in Junior High, did kids call you gay? Or were you popular? Me? I'm called gay and John...um.... something I can't really say..... Lets say it sounds like what males have to (not really) make kids. both ways. DX I hate my last name. I hate my life, I hate my school.... Argh, my life would be a perfect social pariah if I didn't have Internet. which is why when I'm grounded I go into such a depressed state I have to take medicine for it.
