First commission for this wuff, by Emmm, many years ago. But still a very loved and appreciated image!
Vrghr looks so happy and excited here, chasing that elusive butterfly around. He's sure he's going to catch it yet (though he has no idea what to do with it, if he does)!
Emmm did such a wonderful job on this. Really captured the nature and spirit of this dragonwuff. And the wonderful FLOOF! So FLUFFY! *grin*
Also, first try by any artist to visualize Vrghr 'prismatic fur' that splits light into rainbows like a diffraction grating.
Thank you, Emmm. Vrghr is forever grateful!

*the dragonwuff half-closes his eyes in bliss, crooning softly at the pleasure of your touch. He nuzzles the wolf along the jaw thankfully.*
Mmmm! Hugs and tummy-rubs! Can't be beat! Unless perhaps it is by hugs, tummy-rubs, and FOOD! *giggles*
Thanks muchly for the kind comments, and all the rest!

Wuff would love to see how other artists execute that fur concept. It's not all that common in the fandom.
This is certainly a good version of it! Emmm was explaining how he finally came to the realization that trying to add highlight colors to white fur wasn't working. The "trick" was to put the colors in the wuff's coat, and then to add white as the highlights. In comparing the result to the "carnival Glass" figureens used for reference, wuff can say it really worked out well that way.
Hmm... if not "cute", how about "fluffy"? *chuckles* Wuff is certainly fluffy in this view!

Oh, wuffy's definitely wider, as will be seen in the conclusion picture. It must be the short perspective from Vargr running headlong into the 'camera'. *grins* But even given that, Vargr's got a pretty nice gut on him in this picture.
Is it wrong to want to get hugged and pounced by your own picture? *giggles* Cause wuff's author DEFINITELY wants a cuddly, fluffy hug and snuggle from the wuff in that shot!

Ohh yes! Wuff's author joins you in that wish! Getting pounced and hugged deep into that soft fur, tight against the broad, padded chest, and wrestling and playing with the plump, silly wuffy afterward. *sighs* What lovely thoughts!
*chuckles* Vargr certainly does have a magnificent mane in that view, doesn't he? Practically leonine! Just makes him all the cuddlier.
Emmm really did a magnificent job on the coloring. Vargr knows it was a bit of a stretch for him, to try to come up with something that conveyed the irridescence using just a digital 'canvas'. Nicely done!

*nod nods* The shere joy and fun in that view makes wuff's author want to go out and frolic about the park. Maybe go fly a kite, or something equally innocent and fun! That's sure to draw a few strange looks *giggles* which is almost reason enough on its own to do it.
*grins* He'd get along GREAT in a disco! Probably blind a few folks though, with all the lights and mirrors there. *chuckles*
In doing a bit of research, way back when the wuff was just being developed as a character, Author learned that polar bear fur isn't really white - it's clear, to allow the most sun to get through to their dark skin. But the slight refraction of the light off the hairs' surfaces causes the bear's coat to appear white. So, Author wondered, what might happen if tiny grooves were cut along the fibers?
Such isn't unknown in the animal kingdom - lots of hummingbirds have similar effects on their feathers.
Would LOVE to see what it looked like in "real life". But, until then, will have to rely on artists like Emmm and others to show wuff what they see it as.
