Got bored so I decided to novelize one of my old D&D encounters with my Sergal Shadowcaster, enjoy... I may write more of these :D
===========================================
Aesrinn peered in the open doorway to the demon’s lair, a grin etched across the sergal’s face in the darkness as he sized up his prey. Aesrinn’s connection to the plane of shadow kept him hidden as he entered the lair his own shadow silently closing the door behind him sealing the demon’s fate. The demon turned around started at the closed door “Who’s there! Show yourself!” he growled as shadowy tendrils snuffed the torches in the room one at a time. “Darkness” Aesrinn replied, his voice echoing as the room filled with a dense shadow that not even the demons dark vision could pierce. The rooms once hellish temperature dropped to a near arctic frigidness as the demon thrashed hopelessly at the dark “Coward!” the demon screamed as he frantically clawed at phantoms. Aesrinn let out a devilish chuckle, letting the demon swing frantically for a moment as he formed shadow-stuff around one of his hands, forming an umbral blade as he closed the distance between him and the demon. With a single thrust the sergal pierced the demon’s chest, though the blow only managed to wound the beast. The demon growled as he was stabbed, for a moment catching a glimpse of the sergal’s emerald green eyes as he slashed back with his claws, rather than catching flesh and fur the demon’s claws found only air as the sergal flickered into darkness. The demon felt his blood turn icy as shadows invaded his wound, his movements turning sluggish as his veins blackened and the darkened floor gripped at his feet. Feeling fear and desperation the demon called upon its planar travel ability to escape, the usual brilliant light of his spell succumbing to the darkness of the room as Aesrinn warped the spell into a bolt of shadow that slammed into the demon’s back, killing the beast as he fell limp to the floor.
